One thing that we meant to ask about. What in your opinion makes FOSS similar to feudalism? If anything proprietary software and services are feudalism, but maybe you liken the #dotCons more to #fascism?

Be careful not to fall into the trap of not using degoratory names for the #dotCons. Every single time we use their proper names they see they have power. Avoid fueling their brand, identity, notoriety, profile, profits.

Don't let them take a letter of the alphabet. Don't help them!

We've been using (EDIT: the names) 'Falsebook' and 'Turdsite' for a long time, the (EDIT:labels) are quite timeless.

For the last 15 years most activists have been organising direct action in the #dotcons so a step to the #openweb is a good step.

I was involved in the setting up of the instance we are talking about, when pushing this I pushed it was #4opens after it was out of the hands of #submedia the talk of "hardening" began, and is still ongoing bad pushing of a foles agenda. It's #openweb not #closedweb

They are different paths with only slight overlap.
