Listening to the latest #dotnetRocks podcast, and @richcampbell reads a comment from @gaprogman "G-A, must be from Georgia." ๐ apparently unfamiliar with the #dotnetCore podcast, or at least it's host? Anyways, just found it amusing when worlds collide. @carlfranklin #dotnet

@carlfranklin Re #SecurityThisWeek 101. Interesting how the Moq/SponsorLink lssue.
This appears to be related to several #DotNetRocks where you discuss issues about how #openSource is cruel to its maintainers.
On one hand, I can see where the maintainer is coming from. On the other, I can't trust them and need to do some panic research on the competition this weekend.

@JenMsft @carlfranklin I reckon this is a candidate for your "Better Know a Framework" section on the #dotnetrocks podcast.
I really like the open source financing idea discussed on #DotNetRocks #1854, but I don't know that it only applies to open source. I can think of other places where this idea could apply.
I want to support the writer of an article, but I don't want to add another subscription that I will forget to cancel.
Can also apply to music, vlogs, Stack Overflow answers, etc.
Micro-payments annoy me, & the fact that a high % goes to fees.
Podcast players must have started to partner somehow with advertisers. I listened to #DotnetRocks by @richcampbell and @carlfranklin and got an advertisement in Finnish.
This is the first time I encounter this. I hope all the revenue goes to the duo and not the #PocketCasts which I used as a player.
I don't mind if the advertisement is a bit more targeted, but revenue should go to creators and not podcast players.
I had a great time on #dotnetrocks with @richcampbell and @carlfranklin at #techorama last month! And now you can listen to the recording too! We talk about #observability and the #opentelemetry project ๐

So many great memories made at #techorama ! As a speaker sharing knowledge about messaging, as a guest on a LIVE edition of the legendary #dotnetrocks show, as an attendee at so many inspiring sessions, and as a friend to so many amazing people; I feel truly blessed! #mvpbuzz

One of the things I appreciate about #dotnetrocks is the copious number of links in the show notes. @carlfranklin and @richcampbell do a great job of capturing links to items mentioned in the show.
My team uses #Cypress, so I'll be passing along a link to episode 1843 to our QA lead.
I thought Microsoft's #Channel9 was named after Seattle's public TV station #kcts9.

@richcampbell @carlfranklin I joined Mastodon to send you this toot. I think I'll stick around.
I'm seeing all sorts of great #dotnet content... it's awesome ! Some might even say it rocks. #dotnetrocks
@carlfranklin & @richcampbell - The DoomSharp episode of #dotnetrocks was very enjoyable. It took me back to when I did OpenGL and game development in a prior life.
I wondered if your guests tried to use ChatGPT to port any code from C to C#. It seems pretty good at translating between programming languages.
My youngest wanted my help porting MAME to Roblox. I knew it was a fool's errand, but I wanted to help him try. ChatGPT converted the first few source files well but failed to translate more complex files.
I failed to find an API in Roblox to let us render in-memory bitmap graphics to a 2D surface, so the experiment ended.
When I bought my first computer (which costs over $2k and the boxes filled the back seat of a VW Bug), it came with a utility called Slow286 which slowed down software. I would use it to play games. I think it was tunable, I remembers slowing games down to figure them out (like slowing down a turn table to figure out a solo, I guess)
Had loads of fun talking with @richcampbell and @carlfranklin together with @wesleycabus on #dotnetrocks
A while ago I started watching the #blazortrain videos created by @carlfranklin. At the time I was just curious about #blazor and wanted an overview of the technology.
With my impending move back to #contracting I am revisting the series, starting from episode 1, to add to my development toolkit.
When I first looked there were a handful of episodes, now there are over ninety!
Carl is as enterntaining as ever and those familiar with his podcast #dotnetrocks will know what I mean ๐

One of my #primary sources for learning is #Podcasts. I have a lost of some that I like and learn about new tech. At least an #introduction so I can dig in deeper when the #tech seems to cross my path.
#DotNetRocks with @carlfranklin and @richcampbell is one of these great sources of awesome content and a laugh. After being guest on the show last year, I today learned I unlocked another achievement because my comment was read on the show about API Management.

@carlfranklin @richcampbell: Years ago, when I was contractor working on Project Siena (Power Apps' mama)
I remember hearing discussion on how programming an app should be like writing Excel formulas and macros.
Business user know Excel and we were to write a tool that allows them to write their own tools in their own language. Etc.
Exciting stuff!

Hey @carlfranklin have you ever thought of implementing this #fediverse app for podcast comments for #dotnetrocks? https://minipub.dev/
