I always like playing with yarn/thread weights to see how differently a pattern will come out just from that. I usually take a small doily pattern & see if I can make a dishcloth or hot pad by making them in worsted rather than thread... but this time I took a dishcloth pattern (and old favorite, in fact; I've done So Many of these over the years) and knit it up in thread!

It worked so well, that I made a second one for my mother's birthday in 2020 ^_^
