Went to #DowntownDisney at #Disneyland yesterday, my wife wanted to go. Never again. Worst experience at Disney ever.

First of all, parking way up! $10 first hour, $7 ever half after! And to jack up your fee, 1/2 hour line to get in.

That was the best part.

Half the place is closed or under construction, every store packed. We didn’t buy anything, it was too much work.

And forget dinner, no reservations, two hours for a table, 20 people deep for a food cart….

In #Anaheim for work, but I wanted to dip my toe into the bubble for a little magic. #DowntownDisney did not live up to expectations. Construction walls everywhere, dirty, and sad. It didn’t even have the normal bright spot that is the Wonderland Gallery, which is currently tucked away in a far off corner with very limited stock. Honestly, I should have ate dinner at any of the hundreds of amazing restaurants and counters scattered around town.

Given how vocally opinionated #disney fan folks are, it’s interesting that reaction to yesterday’s Downton Disney news has been essentially uniform.

-It was crappy for La Brea Bakery to notify staff they were all let go / site closing same day with no prior notice
-Yay to the return of Earl of Sandwich in that spot, even if temporary
-Putting Portos in that spot near park gates where there already are bottleneck issues is going to create huge crowding issues
