ARC has provided responses to ~390 requests for assessor scores for, mostly, #DiscoveryProjects #DP23 but also others, like this #DECRA👇

Very typical: Detailed assessors know topic but review few apps & provide higher scores than General assessors. Lesson: Must appeal to GAs!

As far as I know, people haven't yet received their #DiscoveryProjects #DP23 assessor scores which the ARC told #SenateEstimates was imminent ("about to press the button"). Perhaps the CEO just didn't speak clearly enough, & it's all 390 that'll come before end of Feb (tomorrow)?

One further thing to note about the ARC discovery projects grant round: both grants in philosophy went to projects led by level E men, and even digging down into the one team project, 3/5 of the team are level E men, 2/5 level E women. This isn't too surprising, given that >44% of funded DPs went to level E men, but not doing a great deal for our disciplinary reputation when no mid-career academics can get a DP and 80% of the funding goes to men. #philosophy #ARC #DP23

Depressing #discoveryproject #DP23 #grant outcomes announced today for maths — 27 projects funded; only 3 led by women. Not even 12%. These numbers seem to be getting worse. How does anyone think this is acceptable? Most of these teams have no women at all

Outcomes announced for the ARC Discovery Projects 2023. Apparently the smallest number of DPs funded since 2016. I count a total of 16 awarded in Language, Communication and Culture.

Incredibly excited to have a #DP23 grant get funded with @dangolding, Benjamin Nicoll, Helen Stuckey, and John Banks.
