Bien d'accord que ça dépend du besoin.
Aucun livre publié à ce jour ne saurait être exhaustif sur le sujet.
"On va uniformiser la matière pour la sécurité juridique et faciliter le business en faisant un règlement européen au lieu d'une directive" = grande mythomanie de la Commission.

En tant que #juriste et #dpo , je lis le texte, les trouzemilles lignes directrices, recommandations, etc générées par les autorités, la jurisprudence.

Pas de livre. Gratuit. Fête.

@coco@corentin.eu il y a le code #dalloz (https://www.boutique-dalloz.fr/code-de-la-protection-des-donnees-personnelles-p.html) qui reprend en fait le #RGPD.
Ça dépend du besoin. Quel est-il ? En tant que #DPO, mais non juriste, je trouve souvent que le texte se suffit à lui-même.
Pour l'accès au texte en lui-même, je conseille souvent le site https://www.privacy-regulation.eu/fr/index.htm que je trouve bien fait, car il fait des liens avec des articles et des considérants (appelés ici «raisons»)

Quand t'es #DPO et que tous tes conseils sont suivis par les clients, tu te sens utile et c'est merveilleux (on n'en parle pas assez mais c'est un métier ingrat 😤 souvent on te prend pas au sérieux ou on veut faire des économies au détriment de la sécurité - parfois je suis obligée de faire peur 👻 )

I'm reading a lot on how having a lack of impact in one's job leads to feelings of pointlessness, despair and burnout (or as Emmett Shear calls it, 'Broken Steering' or Sasha Chapin says feeling like a 'dust banana'.)

In a related thread, the author over at Liminal Warmth (https://liminalwarmth.substack.com/p/responsiveness-defines-meaningful) adds to this - many of us in knowledge work are effectively paid to sit around and wait for crises, and a large % of the work we actually do is invented in part to help people cope and avoid thinking about all the hurry-up-and-waiting we engage in. I saw this a lot as a #DPO, and likened it to generating 'symbolic representations of the thing' rather than the thing itself.

But I wonder - is that just me? Is it just me who doesn't see #impact in compliance, or do others share that sentiment? If you're in #compliance (#dataprotection #security #risk #KYC etc) do you find impact and value in your role? If so, tell me! I want to know more.

@ahimsa_pdx But note the big UK #MECFS #charities havenæ pointed out this catastrophe. They are also, imo, complicit with the #Establishment, never rocking the boat. Probably due to not being #DPO s. I am thoroughly disgusted by their failings too.
