For those running #ArchLinux with #dracut, beware of upgrading, dracut 059 still doesn't carry the patch to fix invalid generated initramfs. This occurs on systemd >= 253 because stricter sandboxing is employed here and the invalid initramfs silently worked before.

Probably time to migrate back to mkinitcpio but now in combination with systemd's #uki and kernel_install.

Okay, today I started looking into what causes that #kernelpanic on my #geckolinux / #opensuse #tumbleweed.

A search for the error message led to https://askubuntu.com/questions/41930/kernel-panic-not-syncing-vfs-unable-to-mount-root-fs-on-unknown-block0-0#41939 - but I'm not on Ubuntu.

Turns out, openSUSE is using #dracut.

List of installed kernels at `/lib/modules`.
I picked 5.17.2-1-default (because the last working version for me is .1-1) and passed that to dracut:

`sudo dracut --kver 5.17.2-1-default -f`

This should update #initramfs.

Updating GRUB using `yast bootloader`>

I did it!

I had to edit the #u-boot thing, write my own module for #dracut, google all of the interwebz and bang my head against the table for four hours straight, but finally it's working :)

Unfortunately dracut diesn't show any output before I enter the password as of yet... But that is a minor issue, really.
