The worst of it is:

Once upon a time, #Draft2Digital was the most #Accessible platform. They haven't been for years.

They were taken over by #Captua Bots.

I have had an email conversation with #Draft2Digital twice.

They know they are:

Breaking the law.
Discriminating.

They don't care.

Their choice is to have a sighted person make an account, and be given access to do all the publishing for the blind person.

Is anyone going to do that for free?

Would you trust a random stranger with your account information, if you can't get in and fix it?

#Accessibility for #Blind and #DeafBlind people matter.

However, the other #Publishing sites sites, and aggregators, such as #Draft2Digital, refuse to be #Accessible. They refuse to acknowledge #ADA.

They refuse to allow #Blind and #DeafBlind authors, by insisting on blocking their sites with #Captuas that require a well sighted person to have your account information.

#Accessibility matters.

It shouldn't have to be law, though it is. It should be common sense.

Companies should want to be inclusive.

Anyone know if #Draft2Digital participates in #Kobo plus?

It really seems odd that so many sites won't let me login with my gmail email.

I remember when it was intended for businesses, especially small businesses.

The number of #Tech #Email issues has expanded.

#Apple #IBooks (Cannot find connected account), #BarnesAndNoble (cannot connect at this time), #Draft2Digital (Captures), #Kobo (Captures), #StreetLib (Cannot connect). None seem to recognize my email properly.

Is there anyway to get these programs to just work?

Do I need to change email?

Partly because I signed up for a email blast, I will leave my books on #KindleUnLimited another 90 days.

After that, I am unsure. I hope to find an accessible venue that will allow me to host my books. Hopefully for free, and/or pay if the reader can.

Indie authors, make sure you login to your Draft2Digital Account regularly even if you are not publishing. This author had account closed for no reason. While it isn't outright stated, I strongly suspect tech bros are creating Draft2Digital accounts and selling AI books, making everything a mess. Some good news on that front. On #Draft2Digital 's #podcast "Looking Back at 2022 & Predictions for 2023 // EP105", #MarkLefebvre said that D2D+Smashwords will be providing a lot more stats that make sense to #indieauthor and those #selfpublishing

I agree that we need some education on how 50% of all stats are BS. Maybe this is something we can work on together and publish some educational blogs????
