3d6 is a very stable dice roll to base a system on, and I've generally enjoyed the Dragon die mechanic. However, like many RPGs out there (including #dnd5e), AGE system clearly was not tested very much above level 10 or so.The PCs are currently level 13 and I'm pretty much constantly homebrewing to challenge the players.
It's still a ton of fun, though!

465 followers · 5701 posts · Server mstdn.gamesOne thing about #BaldursGate3 that I really enjoy is that you don't battle all the time. In a lot of crpgs you encounter enemy after enemy after enemy. Take #DragonAge Inquisition for instance, where you can't throw a stone without hitting an enemy. Now, in DA:I your resources are infinite. No spell slots, magic arrows. I have to admit, I enjoy the "bigger fights in one place" instead of "all over the place" more. Not to worry about stumbling over yet another bear.

Though I do have 2 for DA:O, DA:I and ME these days. Wonder how many characters it will take in #BaldursGate3 for me to find "my heart's desire". 😏

Everything was going SO WELL and then the nation of playthrough ending bugs attacked.
Maybe reloading an earlier #DragonAge Origins Awakening save will solve it, maybe it won't, but uggghhhh my blorbo :(.
Worst case scenario, will have to start from scratch. It's not a loooong DLC so it really isn't the worst game-y thing to happen to me.
Anders, wait for me until I fix this. Go play with Ser Pounce a Lot or something.
