I attended a downtown #geocaching event, hosted by local geocacher I hadn't met yet. It felt great to hear "ohhh.." as I wrote into the logbook my handle's first four letters, then "OHHH!" after the next three.

My day was excellent: free parking downtown, best view of #DragonBoat races, stroll along #FalseCreek, #qigong workout, sun, and #Chinatown visit.
Having sweet and sour pork, rice, and Shanghai noodles with Beef and Broccoli.

I survived the week - but not very well. Still, in a day of decompressing managed to do some writing. Another fairly calm night for Amathus DBC #Dragonboat training & more rightie paddling for me. 🙂
3 young people there having a go for the 1st time & recording short interviews to report on the experience.
A number of 1K pieces with an island turn & 200m sprint to finish.

Fab morning of @Amathusdbc #Dragonboat training focusing on our best stroke technique.
Video feedback near the end of the session then back in the boats for 1.5 dock lengths & a 500m race to finish.
I was doing OK on my "wrong" right side again. Might stick on that for a bit. 🙂

Clear night with moderate to strong breeze for our #Amathusdbc #Dragonboat training session.
2 boats out. Long pieces of intermittent normal & technical paddling.
My small flip top flask of hot tea was great to have, & my new #saltiesports robe kept me very warm before & after.

New sports gear - a "dry robe" for the grand sport of keeping warm when huddling by a cold dock, lake or riverside. 😄
Felt toasty in the house - will try it outdoors for the 1st time on Thursday.

1st @Amathusdbc #Dragonboat training session of the year for me this morning. Haven't been out paddling for 3 weeks, so it was a good bit of needed exercise. Forecast promised dry weather, but we were given rain 🌧 and hail showers instead. Sun 🌞 came out just as we finished!

We were invited to join a "Santa Splash" event this morning in Salthouse Dock, so a festive fun training session, stopping off at a pontoon for hot chocolate & mince pies.
We had a newbie helm doing a great job too!

Lovely calm evening last night after a day of constant rain. Liverpool docks were like a mill pond. Perfect conditions for me to take a turn again at the #?"№,-ŕ #Dragonboat helm. 2 boats out so learning to turn them together at end of each piece. 360 degree & island circuit turns too!
