Hmm, considering how important social events should be in an Old Gods of Appalachia game, getting an understanding of "party events" will be time well spent.

He has spoilers for DragonHeist in this link.
Events you will be attending in OGoA - Weddings, funerals, community dances, church socials, formal parties, Corn huskings (and gatherings), fall festivals, Pea Shellings....

#dnd5e #pnpde
Post-#DragonHeist Session 65
Continuing on the road toward Mirabar, the Stars druid finds a hilltop that is perfect for observing omens in the night sky, and the team packs a picnic.
He observes that an ill-omened comet has become visible, and all of his Weal or Woe rolls are Woe for the foreseeable future. Also, he sees that the malevolent Hadar is in the astrological house of the Chalice, and will remain so until somehow banished. There's a lot of additional lore dump here.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 64
The party's half-orc Peace cleric describes his constant struggles with the Stone of Golorr, to which he is still attuned, each night while he sleeps. One night's dream is interrupted by a vision of a woman sitting on an island in a peaceful lake.
The next morning, they leave Luskan, headed for Mirabar, as caravan guards for the Winter Wolf trading coster. They see and ignore a Red Wizard trading enclave, and settle down for camp in an established campsite.
Post-#DragonHeist session 63
The party sailed from Neverwinter to Luskan. They saw Zardoz Zord's ships - Eyecatcher, Heartbreaker, and Hellraiser - also sailing toward Luskan.
I wasn't at all sure what they would do in the city, so I was scrambling a bit this time.
They went to gather information about the road east to Mirabar, and learned that the sun has ceased to rise over Icewind Dale, and orcs are extracting tolls from merchants on the Blackford Way to Mirabar.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 62
In tonight's game the PCs had a few beers with Fortune Arrik and his adventuring companions, who they had rescued from Castle Never in a harrowing mission. They compared notes, picked up some very obscure Realmslore, and the half-orc cleric pried a little more knowledge loose from the Stone of Golorr.
It was a great bonding and world-characterization scene that touched on what adventurer culture is like in the Realms.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 61
The PCs found a shadow demon having a creepy feast with 3 wraiths. They slew the wraiths and the shadow demon fled through a wall when it realized the fighter's sword was magic.
They heard it kill another of the gnolls that had previously escaped them, and they gave chase. I called for a new initiative roll, and only the wizard and fighter beat the demon. Together, they did *exactly* enough damage to kill it. It doesn't get a turn to spawn new specters.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 60
In last night's game, the PCs had fallen/jumped to a lower dungeon level. They began exploring the area, which was *covered* with skeletal remains, as if a great battle were once fought in this vast chamber.
Inside a mausoleum, they found signs of previous explorers and took a much-needed short rest. They heard skeletons climbing up from a lower level, and saw that they were held together with icy-blue magic.
Post-#DragonHeist session 59
In tonight's session, the party is still seeking the last member of an NPC adventuring party. They enter a room where the floor has been ripped apart from below - there are long rents in the floor.
They examine the gaps, and notice some gore around one part of it. Then a little more. How... how is there more blood now than a moment ago? Where is it coming from?
Something from the chasm whispers to them, and especially to the fighter when she leaps nimbly over.
Post-#DragonHeist session 58
In tonight's session, the party is searching for the members of a scattered NPC adventuring party. They've found the tiefling rogue and the human knight.
Next, they found the gnome mage, fascinated by a lantern casting animated shadows on the wall that seemed to be trying to tell her something. She grew irritable when they dimmed the light and angry when they turned it off completely, but a Dispel Magic broke its hold over her.
Going through the old #DragonHeist maps I made for my last campaign. Very simple one today!
This basic map is a staging area for Waterdeep's Phylund family. Here they hold exotic animals and creatures in a subterranean complex, the entrance in the SW corner. There is an office building, and two guard towers and the whole property is surrounded by a 10 foot wall with gates on the north and south sides.. An old oak tree, about 30 feet tall is in the middle, leafless in the early spring.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 57
The PCs, beaten to bloody bits by gnoll berserkers and a flind (holy crap, flinds), so they heal a bit before opening another door and finding two more gnolls who had been trying to hack through a door. Once they're dispatched, they find Fortune Arrik - the person they came here seeking - on the other side of the door.
Fortune thanks them for rescuing him and yields the dwarven relics that he had bought, but asks the PCs to find his three missing companions.
Post-#DragonHeist Session 56
Our heroes continued their exploration of Castle Never, descending from the High Hall into an underground working area... which proves to be inhabited by bloodthirsty gnolls of Yeenoghu's cult, led by a flind. It's a long fight with attacks from many different directions.
The flind did just horrifying amounts of damage to the party, who were already worn down by the rest of the gnoll pack. Not all CR 9s are created the same, folks.
#DragonHeist last night was a joy. I have to say that the Alexandrian Remix by @hexcrawl has been a joy so far. The Tavern Time stuff and NPCs are such a hit with my players. I am however intimidated by chapter 3 coming up soon, it's all a bit overwhelming. #dnd5e
Naja. #pnpde #dnd5e
Post-#DragonHeist Session 54
The PCs are investigating the theft of relics from Clan Stonebreaker (of which two PCs are members). They know the relics were sold to a tiefling who works for Dagault Neverember, named Fortune Arrik.
In THIS session, they met a cleric of Tyr who'd met Fortune in passing, and could contact him with Sending to set up a conversation at a neutral location. He replied, in essence, “Sorry, busy with a dungeon crawl, the door we’re hiding behind is about to come down.”
#dnd5e #pnpde
