Last night was just another Wednesday night at the Perth Motorplex - until it wasn't.
Our regularly scheduled off-street drag racing and burnout program was cut short by a summer storm that brought hail, thunder and lightning.
Thankfully I ended up with a photo I'm pretty happy with out of it all - all handheld and no lighting trigger involved.

A few photos from the Australian Top Fuel championship round recently held at the Perth Motorplex.
While I have a day job that puts food on the table, huge amounts of the rest of the week are dedicated to shooting and editing shots from drag racing and burnouts around Western Australia (mostly at the Motorplex in Kwinana)

I'm a middle-aged guy who struggles every day to get through another 9 hours of #InfoTech monotony without hurling myself off a bridge.
When I'm not doing that, I enjoy #DragRacing at the local 1/8 mile strip. With a little ECU/TCU tuning and practice, I've shaved a second off my time in a year.
#Anxiety and #depression are some of my other less-enjoyed hobbies. The drugs help. A lot.
We recently acquired a Pembroke Welsh #corgi. They're awesome little puppers.
