"Sling"
Drawtober from 2019 featuring one random anthro cat wielding a sling! :P I personally love slings as weapons and I think they are so underappreciated! I think Caracalians from my comic setting would be especially skilled with sling! However in my comic that I am uploading over on FA I also show Lupines wielding them at one point! :P

: The # Scottish pech was fair-skinned and red-haired and might be mistaken for a human except that these were extraordinarily short. Like many peoples, the pechs could not bear sunlight and fled to their residences each dawn. Despite their dwarfish height, they were strong and agile. They formed great lines in order to haul stones from quarries to construct their castles.

I know I've been neglecting Mastodon a bit which means I'm ultra late in posting this Drawtober piece.
The topic was actually right up my alley and I couldn't resist giving the creature a Late Bronze Age antenna sword (my ref dates to ca. 850-750 BC) to hold up because in my head, bog = deposits (and mummies...).
The process video was the last one I uploaded because I want to rethink what to do with my channel.

Pas mal de portraits du genre sont en discussion sur :cc: :commons: . La question à la base, pour moi, est celle-ci : il faudrait d'abord savoir si un portrait réalisé à dessin à partir d'une photo / inspiré par une photo, peut être publié ou pas sous licence Creative Commons, au cas où le portrait photo du départ soit sous copyright.

I kind of forgot to post this. Not surprising because I really didn't like working on it. It's also the only one I went past the deadline because when it was basically done I had to sleep on it and look at it again the next day. Which helped a bit. It didn't look as bad in natural light but I still went over it with coloured pencils to somewhat save it.

I have been neglecting this place for a bit (though not as much as other sites/apps...) and it is high time that I remedy that!

Let me try to catch up with my Drawtober pieces. I have to admit that I struggled with prompts 3 and 4 quite a bit. In this case, I think laying down the values in blue ink was a good idea in theory but in practice it "sealed" the paper to some extent so that the watercolour had nothing to grab onto. Oh well, now I know.

Prompts 4 to 6 were Fiendish Familiar, Bewitched Bog, and Candlelit Coven.

Of the three, Bewitched bog is by far my favourite, because frogs are my favourite! It also won an award on Twitter for being illustration of the day for this particular prompt!

Prompts 1 to 3 were Garden of Magic, Midnight Delivery, and Spellbook Apprentice.

Of the three, Midnight Delivery was the one I enjoyed the most. Particularly the colours and the perspective that I was playing with.
