28. I played in a #CallOfCthulhu one shot where I played as a Mafia don’s driver. We didn’t get to finish it but we were getting into some very creepy stuff, finding a body at a mine and hearing strange howling out in the woods. Would love to play more CoC or horror games in general. Would love to play some #Dread.

Horror ist nicht ganz mein Ding, wobei es im Rollenspiel noch eher geht als in Film oder Videospielen. Am gruseligsten war hierbei eine Runde #Dread, von @Carragen geleitet. Er ist ja der König der Highschool Tropes, und so waren wir eine Gruppe Jugendliche, die in ein altes Anwesen aus Spaß eindrangen. Mein Charakter ging als erstes hops und durfte dann als Geist mitspuken. #RPGaDAY2023 #pnpde

La VO de la question dit "game" et donc c'est ambigu entre la partie et le jeu. J'ai d'ailleurs bien peur que ça ne soit pas la première fois qu'une question tombe à plat à cause de cette ambiguïté de traduction.
Je ne pense pas avoir joué de partie avec un vrai bleed out de peur. Mais des jeux comme #Dread (j'ai joué au Geas du comte Vulku) ou #Horrifique maintiennent tension et ambiance.

Laws' Drama System would work well for the billionaire story. For the superhero story, well, how existential is this threat? You could use #dread or #tencandles to represent reality unraveling, but those are both one-shot games. #masks is great, but it's a heavy PbtA game. So not sure.

Star Wars ohne Spielleiter – wir waren zwei Spieler (beides erfahrene SLs und Star Wars Fans) und haben die Handlungen über Zufallstabellen ausgebaut. Es war recht actionreich und sehr cineastisch, aber auch recht merkwürdig und aufwendig.
Auch merkwürdig hat sich für mich als blinden Menschen das Spiel DREAD - mit dem Jenga-Turm statt den Würfeln - angefühlt 😊

It kept me off balance and wondering, and did a good job of switching gears while maintaining the overall tone of #mystery and #dread.
Part #horror #movie, part #psychological #drama, and all a waking #dream in a #nightmare, it does a lot in less than 90 minutes.
Time spent well, imo.

I like removing bioessentialism from games wherever possible and am very interested in talking about how to make random culture generation, self-scaling magic environments, character sheet design (UX) and making Narrator life as painless as possible.

I don't feel our end is imminent, on a #human timescale, or that it will definitely be caused by #nuclear #war or #disaster, but I do feel we're on track for that at a speed which the overwhelmingly majority aren't recognizing, or are willfully ignoring.
We always ultimately choose the more destructive path, rather than the most cooperative.
