We used to live next door to this field with the small barn. In the morning, the sunlight would flood the field and on this particular day, it was very misty and mysterious. I like that dreamlike feeling.

I enjoy the way through intentional camera movement (#icm) that an image of any subject takes on a #dreamlike feel. I’m attracted to the #escapism of that transition and how it opens up further #creative doors into the production of a piece of #art, more than a #photograph.

This image from the early evening I took over #MorecambeBay from the #cumbria side, panning the camera along the #horizon. I especially like the effect given to the ripples on the water’s surface.

David Lynch is best known for his #surrealist and #dreamlike films including Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive, but he also has a fascination with #abandoned factories. He began photographing them in the 1980’s and the #aesthetics are a reoccurring #motif in his #films. You can view them in his #book, “The Factory Photographs."
