I just finished a new story called “Strange Attractor at the End of Time”! Coming in at 3,800 words (roughly 16 pages), it'll be just perfect for the upcoming Neutral Milk Hotel -inspired anthology from Hungry Shadow Press! Unfortunately, submissions don't open until December, so I'll have to sit on this a while. (Let me know if you want to beta-read in the meantime.) This novel from Cliff Jones, Jr. is my kind of science fiction novel: It's unpredictable, profound, philosophical and filled with insightful social commentary and brilliant satire on ever page.

Honestly, there are enough great ideas in this book to fill 3 other sci-fi novels, but somehow Jones manages to cram one ingenious concept after the other into every single chapter.

Once I started, I couldn't stop thinking about it until I reached the ending.

I know I don't have a lot of followers here (so boosts are appreciated), but does anyone have any questions for me they'd like answered as an article-length response? Here's a bit of my background and credentials:

I'm a writer specializing in . I've been a developer for around 25 years, much of that professionally. I have a master's degree in and have taught in both and . I also enjoy designing new and writing systems. As a teenager, I won contests that sent me to the rodeo, to the state capital to meet the governor, and halfway across the country on a snowboarding vacation. I'm on the spectrum and grew up with my mostly non-verbal autistic brother in a time when most people had never heard of autism. I'm a father of two, coming up on 19 years of (nearly half my life).

Here's an early study using extended-state DMT (giving DMT to volunteers with an IV drip so they have more time to explore dreamspace than the usual 5 or 10 minutes).

A DMT trip could be extended indefinitely in this way. I wonder what's possible with virtual reality when somebody is in that state, like what experiences can be prompted electronically. This is some next-level stuff right here.
