Really the biggest hang up for Dreamwidth is how unfriendly it currently is for smart phone posting, I'm liking the other features as I'm looking through them.

I logged out of the #birdsite tonight for the last time. The final straw for me was blatantly pro Nazi accounts only finally being suspended after advertisers bail, and the essential block function is going to be removed soon. Luckily I really like it here on Mastodon and other places like #Dreamwidth where I can be found. What's missing are some chapters for multi-chapter fics, but there's at least 30 complete one-shots there. Most are #ATLA #DCU & #HP fics, with lots more tagged as misc.

In principle, it should be relatively straightforward to create a Mastodon / ActivityPub client that would organize threads in a manner more similar to #Livejournal / #Dreamwidth / Euphoria (https://euphoria.io/room/welcome/), but building something like that would present new problems because views of thread / conversation structure would differ by client.
