Now it's Outlook, and an interview w/ some woman, having something to do with #mentalhealth. Already heard yesterday @ 1830z on 12025 kHz, presumably also on 6195 via Oman, as the very last non-early-morning BBC WS programme broadcast on #shortwave to Middle East (and, inadvertently, to Europe). #drmlog
#drmlog #shortwave #mentalhealth
Fine decode in Vadodra๐ฎ๐ณ though ... well, when I'm not recording it at least ๐ it does chop when OBS is running #shortwave #KiwiSDR #drmlog
Was late to check NZ DRM on 11685 kHz but found 13840 w/ an even stronger signal than yesterday!!! However, WWCR on 13845 is stronger too... I managed to decode a label at least, but only after 2 minutes. And SNR is only about 4.6dB or so, compared to 9-10dB yesterday ๐ฅด #shortwave #drmlog
Finally an RNZ Pacific #DRM report.
Good signal on 11690 kHz, but adjacent Spain on 11685 analogue was strong enough to block even label decode. After 1858z, 13840 kHz happened to also deliver an astounding signal, best of the past few days! And 13845 WWCR wasn't as strong. No audio unfortunately, it kept missing that one last element - MSC ๐ฅ
Nevertheless, it's all well above average! ๐ฅ #shortwave #drmlog
Whoa, managed to snag a label decode on NZ #DRM on 13840 kHz! ๐ฑ
Still on the small passive #YouLoop, which becomes kinda deaf around here #shortwave #drmlog

Despite a very strong signal, there still were a few drop-outs, especially in the first few minutes of @PopShopRadio show, as you can gather from an Audacity spectrum view of my decoded audio of 5875 DRM. Fortunately, the digital-inception part came through unscathed ๐ And undistorted; way, WAY better than Shortwave Radiogram on WINB @ 8-ish kbits ๐คก #shortwave #RM #drmlog
OK, @PopShopRadio is up on 5875 DRM. Massive signal as expected. Audio is lacking bandwidth (I mean, frequency-wise), but perhaps better it be like that, no artifacts at least ๐ค #shortwave #DRM #drmlog
In the meantime, here's RNZ Pacific on another freq, 13840 kHz, again in DRM. Not even a label decode this time. There's some adjacent-channel QRM here too (13845 Pastor Melissa Scott via WWCR), but is it strong enough to affect NZ? #shortwave #DRM #drmlog
This is a coverage map for 5875 DRM via WOF for today's @PopShopRadio show at 2000z, via his #birdsite. BTW it has some details on the transmission: 85deg beam w/ maximum signal expected from Czechia & Slovakia to Italy; DRM mode B 16QAM modulation, with 14.5 kbit/s. Only the codec name is missing, but I presume xHE-AAC (is it right?). #shortwave #DRM #drmlog
#drmlog #drm #shortwave #birdsite
WOW, what a HUGE signal from RNZ Pacific on 11725 AM ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Literally & trustfully, I've NEVER seen them THAT strong here in NZ's antipode!!!
And 11690 DRM is also in w/ a decent signal, and would've even produced some audio if Radio Exterior de Espana wasn't there on 11685 #shortwave #drmlog
BTW speaking of #DRM, @PopShopRadio goes on air shortly on 5875 kHz via Woofferton๐ฌ๐ง in DRM to Europe. Have a listen! ๐ง
In fact, as I research this information, I stumbled upon some quite enthusiastic news articles about that November's C.M. Obrecht DRM broadcast to India ๐
Just look at these headlines: "One Night Only: EDM to India via DRM," "ENCOMPASS CARRIED OUT A SUCCESSFUL ONE-OFF BROADCAST FROM UK TO INDIA ON NOV 4TH" ๐๐
https://www.radioworld.com/global/one-night-only-edm-to-india-via-drm
and a recording of almost the entire show SUCCESSFULLY decoded in Kerala: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXPLo-VxZtU
Getting occasional blips of audio from a one-off DRM transmission to India on 11710 kHz here in Estonia.
