day 31 of #dronecember - this final entry is admittedly self-indulgent at over an hour (exactly 5 hours total of dronecembers according to Soundcloud's math which i do not 100% trust). it's my attempt to do the cerebral/denser/darker drone combined with the lighter/airy/sublime entries. idk that it does any of this well but i didn't hate it on playback.

day 29 of #dronecember - i finally managed something of a quieter/lighter drone today. 1st take was pretty different but still incorporated the pulsing effect, but i think this one displays more emotion & depth.

day 28 of #dronecember - longest one yet i believe....stretched the definition of 'drone' a touch today & programmed octaved notes within the chosen chord to trigger sometimes, sometimes not...i think the final track stays pretty close to the intent tho. overall a bit harsher/dirtier than i'd set out for but it's what was working so that's what stayed.

day 27 of #dronecember - tried for a more subtle string thing but ended up a bit too cutting in tone...i blame it on trying this in Ableton today, as i often find it difficult to control resonances & final vibes when quickly shaping in a DAW. there's some niceness to this but i'd prefer to have had more time to work on it today. maybe something to revisit later.

day 26 of #dronecember - good entry today i think. maybe a bit longer than was necessary but it felt fine to listen through after. i'd tried a more harsh patch today before this one & it would've been more 'interesting' on a technical level but i just wasn't enjoying it really so it got scrapped before even recording. i'm trusting my instincts with this, for better or worse.

for today's (tonight's) #dronecember hopped back on #tidalcycles to see how it feels like to do non-beat oriented stuff with it. can confirm it is cozy. time to schleep now.
