I might be a bit obtuse, but...
Why are you using Dropbox? There's plenty of free #NextCloud services out there instead, or if you are paying for #Dropbox you can self-host or pay a hosting company to host NextCloud for less than your'e already paying.
Sounds like you've got an opportunity for a solution there - a golden opportunity (NextCloud also has all the document support that Dropbox does too) - for free.

I should really dig up a Dropbox-but-using-B2 type thing for Linux/macOS/iOS... especially if that software ends up being more reliable that pCloud's client. I'm not sure such a thing exists though.
