Ben chaque année, je fais le #dryjanuary, mais cette année j'ai eu le covid en décembre, 2 semaines avant, et du coup, j'ai arrêté avec l'idée de faire une petite pause. Pis après ma compagne m'a quitté et je savais que si je buvais, me connaissant, j"étais fichu. Donc je ne bois pas, jusqu'à ce que j'ai tout stabilisé...

Mais oui, l'alcool peut être une crasse...

Today marks four months in to my ‘Dry January’ and it has now turned into ‘Sober Spring’. Hand on heart wish I could say I’m feeling the health benefits - but the underlying reasons for doing this is where I’m at: Middle age, high blood pressure, general fat boy syndrome and family history is in the genes. Hello Monday. Another little reminder popped up on my phone. 16 weeks in with no alcohol. I’d say I’m well into the groove now. With everything else that’s going on health wise, things stay as they are for the foreseeable. That could be weeks, months or in fact forever. So today is a milestone for me. DAY 100: I’d done Dry January a few times and even managed to get to the end of March before opening the floodgates of alcohol once more. I don’t expect any praise or plaudits from anyone but this time has been different. I am amazed by the stigma attached to those who wish to abstain from alcohol. Currently on Day 52 of Dry January. Don’t want to boast or post regularly about this but I feel so much better in myself. The reset is just what I needed. I want to go long enough to say I don’t drink any more and that’s a big commitment. Therefore no posts about this on any other platforms. @purplepadma Most fun I have had at a party was drinking 7-up w/lime twist on the rocks. I felt #social, was #sober, and remained sane. I also did most of #dryJanuary just to make sure I still could.

On our way to #euchre at Mud Lake yesterday. It was also the end of #DryJanuary . #Labatt #PureMichigan Euchre Day is always the best day of the week. During football season we play on Sunday; the rest of the year it’s usually Saturday. We had guest player Larry with us yesterday so when my BFB had enough (she’s still healing from that fall) Larry stepped in as my partner. A very fun day! Have a great Sunday, everyone.
