@bkabuati A very good question. Putting a "#" in front of a word or code is called a hashtag. Including hashtags within the body text will make all posts that contain the hashtag searchable. It also helps with aggregation. By including #DS4OERS in a Toot, helps us to include a link back to all mastodon posts that contain the hashtag in the course feed on the course site.
@jacki Jacki - extending congratulations on achieving your #Certificate of Completion for #DS4OERS. You are now an #oerpractitioner!

@natashaskeen Thanks Natasha. I appreciate your #DS4OERS feedback and that you will be able to utilise the open course materials in the future.
@jacki Sorry about that - my mistake, I forgot to include the link :-( - Here it is: https://oer.nz/ds4oers-eval (Just sent out a group email with the link information - it should arrive soon.)
We extend our congratulations to Anjnai Lata on achieving the #DS4OERS #Certificate of Completion. Well done!
@geetakrishna Mastodon is a social media platform, designed for sharing conversations openly - so is perhaps not the best platform for learner communications, especially if the learners are young. There are other open source digital messaging platforms which support "private" channels, eg a channel only visible to the learners and teachers of a class. Rocket.chat is an example of digital messaging platform: https://rocket.chat/
Extending congratulations to Kamal Reddy who has joined the list of #DS4OERS graduates earning the #Certificate of Completion.
