I need your advice. I need to clean out seven large boxes filled with stuff from my childhood. For a long time I didn't even remember that I had them. I find it very hard to throw things away. If I don't change my tactics I will end up with - the same - seven boxes. What would you do??

#Day8 Already 3 hours proofreading the transcription of the 1643 print of the #EthicaComplementoria which will be available through the German Text Archive #DTA http://www.deutschestextarchiv.de/ shortly.
The transcription was done manually, with several checks of the physical book in Bamberg.
However, converting a formatted MS Word file into a #DTA base format #XML file didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. This was done in 2016, but the results were not optimal & I noticed only later.

@dta_cthomas @felwert @haoess and do you have any idea about which of the #dta's #VoyantTools versions the website users tend to prefer? Or know about user stories in which one (or even multiple) versions play a role?

Can screen readers read text in attached images?

In other words, suppose I attach an image of just text, say a screenshot from an article or a photo from a magazine, can screen readers handle that?

Or would those images still require an #alttext?

What is the use of spam registrations?

Inherited a site with a forum & it gets lots of spam registrations.

Apparently these "#hackers" have tooling to fill in the form and AI to solve the reCaptcha (v2, mark all zebra crossings) Then an email to confirm registration is sent out, but never confirmed. So the spam registrations end up waiting for approval. I delete them.

What's the use?
