PeerTube uses ActivityPub because this federation protocol is recommended by the W3C and is also used by other projects like the social network Mastodon.
IPFS is a great technology, but it still seems too young for streaming large files.
DTube does not seem open source, because publishing only compiled code hinders freedom of modification.

Sono come #Android, parzialmente open ma controllate centralmente e quindi il rischio che diventino come YouTube/Android (e quindi venduti a una big tech) è alto. Non sto dicendo che siano da boicottare, ma che eticamente peertube ha scelto la decentralizzazione dei server proprio per evitare che un solo soggetto possa prenderne il controllo.

Maybe users could initially suggest which #features should be highlighted, which concepts explained, etc. Then people could send in their versions. Maybe via #Peertube or #DTube. #hubmins could even choose themselves which video to put on their splash page for new registrations.
