It's official! We just received (digitally signed PDFs!) the kids Spanish birth certificates confirming they are now Spanish citizens as of July 28! 🇪🇸 🇪🇸 Interestingly, the doc wasn't signed by the Consul in Toronto but by a staff person. A change in Toronto or the Spanish Embassy perhaps? While according to Spain the three of us have "renounced" our Canadian citizenship, according to Canada, we remain firmly Canadian and are defacto #DualCitizen

Apparently the voting 🗳️ lists came in their separate envelope on Monday! I had already downloaded and printed them from the website and sent in my package last Saturday so no need to keep this, but I think I will keep them as a momento of voting for the first time as a Spanish citizen!
