New board game this week:

Dune: Imperium - Worker placement and deck building is a combination I never knew I wanted. Felt a little high on variance at times since the cards dictate what spaces you can play on, but I liked the choice between using for worker placement or resources. Fantastic game! I got second place.

Bagarre pour Arrakis!
Une bonne partie au boulot à 4 joueurs. Dont un Julien un peu en retrait mais qui affirme avoir passé un bon moment quand même. Alexandre.J qui gagne avec une intrigue de fin de partie et son influence dans les guildes qui lui confère le point décisif. Et Alexandre.P qui rejette la faute sur son deck qui ne lui a pas fourni les bonnes cartes sur le dernier tour! 😆 Et moi j'étais dans la mêlée mais rien de probant sur la ligne d'arrivée.
A refaire! 😘

@bOrgCastAMO I really, really like #duneimperium and the expansions add so much flavor. It turned one of our group’s notoriously passive players into an aggressive warlord. I don’t like the look of the game very much and have replaced almost every single component other than the cards and the board. Make good use of those dreadnaughts.

Ich musste überzeugt werden (Meta-Eindruck: 🤷), fand es dann umso besser. #BGG Top 10? Keine Ahnung. Es erfindet das Rad nicht neu, aber macht auch nichts falsch. Übersichtliche Regeln, zügige Runden, scheint abwechslungsreich. 👍

Sohn (11+) war es zu trocken und strategisch, ohne klare Zielführung am Beginn. Er muss wohl noch ein paar mal drüber schlafen. 😕

Material: Standardware, Karten ohne Finish. 🆗

I got solidly beaten today by both sons when playing #DuneImperium. It's still one of my favourite boardgames, but I've not reset my play style to work with the expansions. Maybe I need to know how to work my leader better?

Ich muss sagen, ich war vorher skeptisch, aber es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Am Ende war es richtig spannend und "der Blödie", wie wir den Störenfried im Zweierspiel genannt haben, hat eine zusätzliche Überraschung im Kampf ausgemacht.

Jetzt nochmal Regelstudium und offene Fragen klären und dann gibt's morgen die zweite Partie ☺️

Dune:Immortality landed here, and we took it for a spin. Fairly good expansion, even though Rise of Ix felt more significant. With both, there's a lot to keep tabs on! Dune:Imperium has become my new favourite boardgame, and I'd say with Rise of Ix it's even better. Might reserve judgement on Immortality yet.
