Just before #DuneMovie202 released I re-read the first 3 novels: #Dune, #Messiah, #Children. I'd read all three before and took just under two months of casual reading before bed. Loved it.

Then I started reading #GodEmperor for the first time, anticipating going through the rest of the series over the next year.

Well, after a 13mo I've only just got through book 4. What a slog.

Ironically, it took me so long that I think I need to reread it to understand the plot again.
