My D&D group hasn't played for a few months, so I explained that gap by having them trigger a trap which froze and shrunk them, and put them into Bavlorna's meat locker. They escaped wounded.

They also found Gloam the cat and the aviary with Hither and Thither messenger birds, but they thought the windows were portals. They wanted to return Gloam to Yon, and thus threw the cat out the window.

"Splash" and the look on their faces was priceless!
