I was suppose to take the Durston X-Mid Solid 2P for a outing this weekend. But the delivery came in a couple of hours late, and the weather forecast turned really bad too, so the trip was postponed. I set it up on my patio just to get a feel for it.

I am really impressed by (1) the quick setup, (2) that it can be setup fly-first and without the inner and, (3) the amount of space inside the inner tent.

Given the additional tie-down options, I reckon it will just do fine in wind.

It is so much simpler to pitch than my Nemo Hornet and ddi g in the inner after fly is up is so much easier than the Vango Nito that I had.

Schon ein smartes Teil, auch wenn ich das Raumangebot meines TT Rainbow mit der großen Kopffreiheit sehr schätze, scheint Dursten Gear mit der X-Mid-Geometrie schon ziemlich nah an selbige ran zu kommmen. Das bei einen Gewicht von unter 500g ist schon sehr verlockend, aber halt nur mit Cuben umsetzbar und dem Preis dafür am Ende...

#HellaStorm we canceled our weekend trip to the mountains due to 4 likely closing so I’m putting the #durstongear #xmid to the test in the backyard instead. Haven’t camped in rain this heavy in 20ish years, so I’m psyched.
