Yesterday in Bolivia, strong north winds (part of a phenomenon referred as low level jet) triggered #dust blowouts from dry river beds (sandbars are usually exposed at the end of the winter because minimal melting upstream) and fan fires creating long #smoke plumes.

* dust storms bringing red desert sands into our cities
* nation-wide fires with smoke haze that turned into toxic smog once it hit our cities
* nation-wide flooding
