I remember those #duststorms. In Lago Patria, all the clothes on the clothes line would feel like fine grit sandpaper.

I’ve been living here for 25 years. #duststorms are a more recent occurrence. The soil is eroded & the trees cleared from roadside fence lines. This morning, despite high winds, I saw farmers working the fields. They could see what was being stirred up but didn’t stop. A wave of dirt rolled over the interstate and thickened. A loud crash, then black billows of smoke. From my window I can see the lights of emergency crews working in the dark, hours later, clearing and investigating #I55
