These will be the last parcels of bicycle parts that I send out this week.
On my way to the post office I went past a school where they've been growing plants (mainly vegetables). Unfortunately I think they're all on holiday at the moment and no-one is watering anything.
At the supermarket a bit later, children's bikes, including one walking bike for a very young child, parked outside the supermarket (they're inside the shopping centre) and someone with a disability just cycled right into the supermarket to do their shopping. Why not ?

Today's parcel run. I again had lots of odd shaped parcels so took them in a trailer.

And this time the photo is from the edge of Assen's city centre. The street from here on has restricted access. It's a pedestrian area where cycling is permitted, but we are supposed to look out for pedestrians.

No cars.

Deliveries to shops can be only made in the morning.

Drivers who ignore the restriction are photographed and fined.

Just fitted a new Steco Buggy-Mee to my daughter's bike. These are wonderful attachments which allow you to easily and securely transport a foldable buggy when cycling with children.

With a Buggy-Mee the pushchair is carried behind the panniers and even behind a rear child seat (if fitted) so it's a very practical setup for taking small children shopping and such-like.

These are one of those things which are normal in the Netherlands but not so common elsewhere in the world. We sell them in our webshop to enable people everywhere to cycle through their entire life.

This afternoon's delivery run. I had a couple of odd shaped parcels so I took a trailer. About bike is a cargo bike becomes a cargo bike of you pull a trailer. The junction ahead gives cyclists priority, as you'd expect at a side road in the Netherlands. In the second photo you can see drivers heading in both directions yielding to cyclists. Note that the cycle path curves away from the road to allow a whole car length between the main road and the cycle path as this enables safe crossing at 90 degrees with good sightlines, and it gives the drivers somewhere to wait.

Today's velomobile adventure was a delivery run. A customer in the countryside near here had ordered a few bike parts so, as usual for local customers, I delivered them by bike.

Anyway, today ten customers were sent email notifications and they'll receive their bike parts in a few days.

Anyway, my destination after the detour through the countryside was a brewery in Veenhuizen.
When I offered to pay my friend for the time he'd put in he said he'd prefer beer, so beer is what he'll get. And they brew very nice beer here.
