Ugh. I love sddm but it runs like it's powered by an 8088 half the time, but once I patiently manage to type my password the actual desktop loads great. Weird how we seem to have opposite issues. I'm curious, what distro and GPU are you rocking?

Unrelated: Lately I've been attacking the sddm source to enable layout selection (beyond language selection). We gotta build a better future for our fellow sistren and brethren of the #dvorak cloth! 💪

Currently listening to the 2017 recording of the NY Philharmonic performance of Dvořák's 9th Symphony, under the direction of Alan Gilbert. I don't know if I enjoy this performance more than the 1962 Leonard Bernstein-led performance, though. It feels heavier, more ham-fisted in places, like an actor delivering wooden, mechanical dialogue.

I'm running Wayland now, but it's not too easy to switch back and forth.

I just hate it when I accidentally switch it XD

I wanted to have something to play around with until I got a feel for whether or not I wanted to pursue it.

From very preliminary experience, I'd say it's a lot easier to learn than #Dvorak.
