Diese Aufnahme aus der vorletzten Nacht zeigt in der Mitte Bodes Galaxie (M81) in 12 Millionen Lichtjahren Entfernung. Sie hat einen Durchmesser von 82.000 Lichtjahren und besteht aus rund 200 Milliarden Sternen. Oben links sieht man die Zigarrengalaxie (M82). Sie ist ähnlich weit entfernt, hat aber nur etwa den halben Durchmesser von Bodes Galaxie.

In der vergangenen Nacht habe ich diese Aufnahme der Andromeda-Galaxie (Messier 31) gemacht. Sie ist die unserer Milchstraße nächstgelegene Spiralgalaxie und ist nur rund 2,5 Millionen Lichtjahre von uns entfernt. Sie hat einen Durchmesser von ca. 200.000 Lichtjahren. Eine Besonderheit ist, dass sie sich auf uns zu bewegt - und zwar mit etwa 300 Kilometern pro Sekunde...

This was just a trial run, but we got this rather nice shot of the Lagoon Nebula NGC6523.

Diese Aufnahme ist das Ergebnis meiner Astrofoto-Session in der vergangenen Nacht. Es zeigt den Nordamerikanebel NGC 7000 (mitte/links) und den Pelikannebel IC 5070 (oben rechts). Beide sind ca. 2000 Lichtjahre von uns entfernt.
Die Gesamtbelichtungszeit der verwendeten 750 Einzelbilder war länger als 3 Stunden.

Anybody else got a #dwarf2 #SmartTelescope?

I ordered two from their kickstarter, and both (after using each of them for a day or two) have had the bottom mounting plates shear off.

When I contacted support (and offered to pay for replacement parts if needed) they just sent me a tube of glue 😂

I didn't initially kick up a fuss as it was only the first telescope I had that problem with, but now it's both! Bah!

Shame, as otherwise I was quite happy with it so far!

In der vergangenen Nacht habe ich erneut eine Aufnahme der Feuerrad-Galaxie #M101 gemacht, da ich feststellen wollte, ob man im Vergleich zu meiner Aufnahme von vor 7 Tagen vielleicht eine Veränderung der #Supernova #SN2023ixf sehen kann. Ergebnis: Der Unterschied ist gewaltig! Die Supernova ist wesentlich heller/größer geworden.
Dieses Video zeigt das Bild vom 27. Mai (heute), wobei die Supernova abwechselnd mit dem Bild vom 20. Mai überlagert wird.

Anfängerglück! 😊 In der Nacht vom 19. auf 20. Mai habe ich eine Aufnahme der Feuerrad-Galaxie #M101 gemacht. Und heute stelle ich sehr erfreut fest, dass darauf als kleiner Punkt auch die #Supernova #SN2023ixf zu sehen ist, die erst am 19. Mai entdeckt wurde und über die derzeit in der Presse berichtet wird. Ich habe die Supernova mit einem kleinen Pfeil in der Bildmitte markiert.

Das ist das zweite Deep-Sky-Objekt, das ich aufgenommen habe: Die Whirlpool-Galaxie (Messier 51). Sie ist etwa 25.000.000 Lichtjahre von uns entfernt. Bei dem "Blob" direkt oberhalb des "Strudels" handelt es sich um eine Begleitgalaxie von M51.

Dass diese Objekte trotz des recht hellen Nachthimmels in stadtnaher Umgebung mit meinem kleinen DWARF II Smart Telescope überhaupt abgebildet werden können, ist schon etwas erstaunlich.

Erstes Ergebnis meiner #Astrofotografie-Versuche mit dem DWARF II Smart Telescope: Eine Aufnahme des Herkules-Sternhaufens (Messier 13). Der ist etwa 25.000 Lichtjahre von uns entfernt, hat einen Durchmesser von 150 Lichtjahren und besteht aus rund 300.000 Sternen.

Am 16.11.1974 wurde vom Arecibo-Observatorium in Puerto Rico ein Radiowellen-Signal in Richtung dieses Sternhaufens gesendet, um dort vielleicht vorhandene Außerirdische auf uns aufmerksam zu machen... 😉
