Yesterday my lawyer texted me that she finally got a call from the Ministry of Interior and I will finally get my visa renewed on Sunday. I asked her, do I need to bring an application form, and so on, or just come dressed nicely for the occasion? "You should wear a bowtie," she replied promptly, "a fine panama hat and flip-flops."

I asked her, do I need to bring an application form, and so on, or just come dressed nicely for the occasion? "You should wear a bowtie," she replied promptly, "a smart panama hat and flip-flops."
Meanwhile, stumbled upon a friendly reminder of what a clever schoolboy I once was.
Indeed, that's exactly how I pondered and marvelled at the tenacity of the questions on this matter. And now, I no longer ponder nor marvel, for, as the poet wrote once, what was gained — all burned: it's coals.
Next year in Jerusalem!

Moved out of the City to Nokdim for a time.
One can spot Jordan in that blue mist. It'll be more apparent on an hour or so, when Jordanians will turn on the lights.

(01/04) BTW, there were almost no updates from me recently whatsoever. Let me fix it:
• My #repatriation to Israel stumbled on bureaucracy. No answer from them whatsoever after I visited a consul for over a week now; if there would be no answer after the Sunday, my lawyer will fill an official request. But, sure, as it has been told once, everything should take place slowly and incorrectly so that man doesn't get a chance to start feeling proud, so that man is sad and perplexed.
Meanwhile, I bought my ticket last week. I'll depart to Israel at the Orthodox Christmas Eve and arrive at the midnight of the first Shabbes of the year. So, my first day in the Eretz Yisroel will be on a Shabbes, in Jerusalem. Isn't it perfect timing? :))
Now I'm looking on my bookshelves with a great sadness and now bargaining with myself a lot on their account.
