Tomorrow one of my dad’s sisters will be taking advantage of Canada’s MAID (medical assistance in dying) law instead of waiting to die in hospice. My parents are there, along with two more of her siblings and their spouses, and her children and grandchildren. I called her this morning and she is at peace with her decision and ready to go surrounded by her loved ones and the ones who love her. May we all be lucky enough to go gently with love. #dyingwithdignity
