I transitioned in 2017, my egg started to break years earlier and since then I'm actively seeking out queer spaces.

Being forced to stop with my daytime job I had more time to think about how rotten #capitalism and the #ClimateCrisis are and I became an #anarchist and #ClimateActivist following the principles of #ExtinctionRebellion.

Remember, every single time you correct someone’s grammar and spelling and punctuation errors you are actually being a ableist.

It’s not funny or cute and you just look like a massive dick.

As some people don’t even have the luxury of “normal” learning skills.

I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I managed to raise a severely dyslexic kid who is massively in love with books. Think it was most discovering the Percy Jackson series and getting completely obsessed, but I'll take it.

Dyslexics kids are rather famous for learning to hate reading. Not only will it always be more challenging to them, a lifetime of microagressions from teachers adds up and they give up trying. Books become negative things. I've seen it in her classmates.

A day at mall buying back to school clothes and she brings a nook, after having spent all morning listening to an audio book of another.

Thank you @rickriordan for getting my dyslexic kid to love reading.

I also just found that if you're a man with dyslexia you need more of this because testosterone doesn't carry it round the body but in women estrogen does. #pwme #dyslexia

My daughter(14)- don’t you wish you could walk?

Me - don’t you wish you could read?

Her- I can, I finished my summer reading

Me- I know, I’m so proud (big hug)

Me- you realize I said that, so I could tell you I’m proud, right?

Her- does this mean you’re… nice?

For context I can walk short distances, she’s dyslexic- individual words are hard, sentences much easier. I usually respond don’t you wish you could spell.

Any one know of any cookbooks written for dyslexia?

Kiddo loves to cook, but is currently limited by her reading skills. She also need super clear instructions to work on her own.

Pluses:
- pictures of every dish
- how to video links
- simple bulleted instructions

Minuses:
- chatty text with no purpose (someone who struggles to read does not want to fight through your back story!)
- giant paragraphs
- fancy lettering

She bought a book over the weekend, but stumbled when it got too chatty in talking about what kind of spatula is best to squish a burger. Why he prefers xyz spice. Really a not needed aside mid-recipe! Otherwise it checked the boxes, was so disappointed because it made it really hard for her to follow.

Google is awful - dyslexia diet books! 🙄

2. You joined your employer after 01.11.2021
3. You have a hybrid/remote working environment

The process will potentially involve some intake and consent forms and a 60-minute interview.
