So I have finally done it. I've replaced my 2004 #E46 330Ci with a much newer 2016 #F23 M235i. It's so similar, and so much more refined it's unreal. One week in, I'm loving it.

We managed to find a bit of a unicorn, a 2016 with only 16k miles on it.

I'm an engineer, software developer/architect, and now exec leading teams for LOB apps and data warehousing. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, but currently focus exclusively on software.

I drive an old E46 BMW that I love maintaining. Low-time pilot, as work/life have slowed pursuits. I have an RV7 empennage kit I'll get started on soon. I also own (non-flyable) Ercoupe #609.

I just had my windshield replaced on my #E46 convertible. If you haven't seen the process done, it's pretty cool. The guy used basically the fishing line method to get under the glass and separate it from the old adhesive. Then lifted it out, cleaned up, new silicon/rubber sealant, and new glass popped in. The whole process probably took 75 minutes total, while talking with me and explaining most of the time.
