one thing i realized about #earthboundbeginnings is that the whole (implied) reason behind the game's conflict is ninten's great-grandpa "stealing" info about PSI from giegue's race and spreading it across earth, hence the invasion to suppress it. giegue's defeat leads to him losing his mind by #earthbound, which ultimately leads to porky's escape and final defeat in #mother3. so the whole series happens because giegue's race tried to enforce intellectual property.

Currently replaying Earthbound AND Earthbound Beginnings at the same time. Also listening to the Mother 1 vocal soundtrack album on repeat. ALSO tried popping in on the Starmen.net forums, where I spent all my time as a dumb kid/teen. (Sadly I couldn't log in to my old account or even reset my password.)

Pretty sure I'm depressed and trying to drown it in a nostalgic obsession.
