So this seems to be Mark Amato’s first story for #EarthFinalConflict. Looking at IMDB he went into write for #MutantX another series I kinda like but is a bit budget. Lots of hot people in that series though.

#EarthFinalConflict S5 continues to be meh. Seasons 1-4 are varying types of good, if not overall good then good ideas. But this is just meh. Ep.4 is kinda tired ‘main character goes underground with homeless former journalist and uncovers stuff hidden from the masses’ trope. It’s done plenty. And Renee’s character is almost unrecognisable from the previous seasons.

1️⃣ I love these syndicated adventure shows of the 1990s. Telling stories that could never fly on network TV.

2️⃣ This, in particular, is a series with a unique blend of fantasy, mysticism and action. The script here, by #DamianKindler (#StargateSG1), is about an ancient chalice (with mystical powers) hidden in a church in France.

3️⃣ #AlexCord (#Airwolf) and #GuylaineStOnge (#EarthFinalConflict) are the guest stars.

Watching a show (#EarthFinalConflict) from 2000 and there’s a screen at the end “please visit us at www.efc.com”.

@VeronicaMBMonks Highly recommend #Babylon5. The first season is a little rough in places, but no more so than the first seasons of TNG or DS9. Many of the overarching themes in #B5 have striking applicability to today.

The Global in #EarthFinalConflict is a great attempt at a near future smartphone-type device. Especially for when it was produced in 1997.

It’s shown as having a folding/rollable touchscreen, camera and video calling, and a couple of buttons.

And for the most part all the actors use it convincingly as just a ubiquitous piece of technology.

1️⃣ Does a terrific job of telling a tale about the atrocities of modern warfare within the bounds of the FK formula. Ending is thoughtful and downbeat.

2️⃣ #JonCassar (#TwentyFour, #TheOrville) directs. And the guest cast includes: #VonFlores (#TekWar, #EarthFinalConflict), #ClarkJohnson (#Homicide, #TheWire) and #GordonMichaelWoolvett (#DeepwaterBlack, #Andromeda).

I remember from the distant past that I didn't like post season 1 cast changes and that the story edged toward feeling silly later in the series. I also did not like them changing Captain Marquette's look! So far, so good in Season 1!

I like #writing, and try to #write. But if I'm honest these past few years have been hard on the creativity. I did find for a time listening to #synthwave did help my creativity process a bit.

Writing wise it's mostly blogs from road trips, other experiences, the occasional long form research and #fanfiction which is the bulk of my long form fiction-based writing. Do have one or two other original fiction pieces which I've been working on for years and not getting anywhere.
