But your earwax generally comes out on its own, when you move your jaw, such as when you talk or eat. You won't notice it, except for maybe some crumbs at the opening if it doesn't fall off on its own.
You can get rid of your ear wax by putting a drop of oil in your ear every night, for a week or so. It will soften the ear wax and let it come out on its own. It doesn't matter what type of oil: corn oil, sunflower oil, etc., though ear wax removal products work faster.

Actually, I let my patients know that we are not at all opposed to unchecked ear wax buildup. Ear wax serves a protective function, oozing out of the skin of the outer ear canal, and protecting you from infections and dust.
Ear wax is only a problem if it hurts, or you can't hear. Even if you are only 99% blocked, you can still hear. If you are 100% blocked, then your hearing decreases. That's why sometimes one drop of water can seem like it blocks your entire ear.

As a hard of hearing person #Covid hit my communication skills and my wallet. In 3 years we’ve drifted into a situation where ear wax is no longer routinely removed at GP surgeries. I paid £50 an ear to get them microsuctioned in 2020 and 2021 lockdowns because I could no longer hear my own children and I was desperate. It sounds trivial, but without #NHS #EarWax removing services hard of hearing people are silenced.
