A lot of people knows the first album of The Shaggs, mostly commented like it's the worst album of all time. First, there is no worst album of all time, lists of good arts are toxic. Secind, it's the only album that made me trip on the street because of the weird tempo of My Pal Name is Foot Foot.
BUT today I want to share with you the second and last album of The Shaggs called "Shaggs' Own Thing". It's one of my favourite album, it's genuine, drafty, chaotic, folk-pop-rock songs, still a bit wacky on how it's played, with a lofi sound (and sometime it's gig recorded). A lot of cheesy and harmless (hetero) love songs.I can't choose a favourite track between My Cutie, Paper Roses, You're something special to me or there cover of The Carpenters's Yesterday Once More.

A lovely album I cherish from the bottom of my heart. I want to live a part of my life in the space created by the album.

When she is not developping some awesome and weird videogames, peace is doing some fine instrumental hip hop beats by chopping and screwing cool samples. Her bandcamp is full of really sweet beats, using samples from pop music, rock music, no wave, grunge, hardcore...
I love her vibe, a bit melancholic, not too invasive, sounding a bit like old hip hop instrumental you could find on the -deleted- youtube channel Beat Connexion or OGDonNinja
My favourite are sisters, and the triptic from FFX-2.

"Hurts, doesn't it ?"

I had to listen to it several time to be really into it but one of my favourite album this year is "Support your local nihilist" by Frances Chang.
There are incredibly catchy songs like "support your local nihilist" (totally earworm material) or "I quit cigs" with its awesome saxophone.

The whole stuff is a weird bedroom pop voice and guitar driven with some weird chords progression for songs I've weirdly never meet in other sound bands or persons. Like, it's not jazzy, it's just weird. It was hard at first to check the vibe of those chords progression but it's really really good.

Support your worldwide nihilists !
