Although not a striking passerine songbird, this small Eastern Phoebe, Sayornis phoebe, in Guelph Ontario Canada is very lovely and sweet looking. It has gray brown plumage, white neck and mixed gray breast and is a loner among its own breed. A flycatcher, its perched on a branch awaiting its lunch and sings "Fee Bee."

A slightly different take on

An Eastern Phoebe built this nest above our deck. I was surprised how much they used!

It took me a while to identify this bird, tried inaturalist and bing chatgpt and it didn't work. Gave up and tried a better photo with inaturalist and it finally worked. It ended up being an Eastern Phoebe, which was not on any of the "33 common birds in georgia" lists.

Eastern Phoebe

This is another bird I haven't noticed around here before. It was around yesterday afternoon.

"The Eastern Phoebe is a loner, rarely coming in contact with other phoebes. Even members of a mated pair do not spend much time together. They may roost together early in pair formation, but even during egg laying the female frequently chases the male away from her." - allaboutbirds.org
