They have claimed about 60 blocks of the East River shoreline, the 79th Street Boat Basin and that stupid little park they are building in Chelsea, as well as Little Island or whatever it's called.'
The signs 'spelled out in three different languages'

While the focus was primarily on the #HudsonRiver I've swim in the #EastRiver and wanted to hear more about others doing same. The group was to be about sharing information and changing #perceptions. The group has grown but there is not much activity. Many including myself have backed away from Facebook. Many were never on it. This is a better forum.

I've swum in the #EastRiver at #TransmitterPark and #MarshaPJohnsonStatePark. I belong to an organization that does free kayaking and is located on #NewtownCreek in #LongIslandCity called #HarborLab. Daughter is in #ProspectHeights on a sublet.
