US population regions: Just watching a video.

1. 80% of Americans live east of 98th meridian. West is dry.
2. 60% of remaining population live in the Pacific coastline.
3. 8 whole states and most of 9 states are virtually empty.
4. John Wesley Powell proposed boundaries by watersheds in 1890.
5. Politicians rejected the proposal and made water management worse.
6. ½ of Senate represents empty land.

They drive US politics. And #DC is still not a state.
