We got a new convection toaster oven and I am so delighted. It’s probably because my dad never let me have an #EasyBakeOven. He said that we’re dangerous. As an adult I was incredulous to discover that it was basically just a box with a lightbulb. Dads gonna dad.

#Shoutout to #Hasbro during this holiday shopping season. Lots of reasons to dunk on exploitative industry giants, but kudos on their ability to pivot with the #EasyBakeOven when learning to 'cook using incandescent lightbulbs' was going the way of the buggy whip. Now little kids get to learn early about the dangers of cooking with what amounts to an actual oven, but is wrapped in a colourful plastic shell.
