Felt nostalgic about the show, and I remembered I owned the original novel. Reached the Ardennes Offensive part again, and it's just... heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.

Shame it hasn't been aired on TV here since the original broadcast. Must have been well over 15 years ago, easy.
