I'll never forgot my DM's reaction in our mid-level #Eberron campaign when he put my Warforged Sorcerer against a really tough boss fight and as I'm all out of spells, and the boss is staring me down, I sigh and say "I rage".

Followed immediately by "you fucking what" and grabbing my character sheet, and realizing I took my 1st level in Barbarian (d12 hitdice minmax) and have Martial Weapon proficiency and have been lugging around a 1d12 Greataxe all this time :^)

Uh, honestly, I can't name anything.

Maybe it's just that I'm not a fan of licensed settings, in the same way I'm not all that eager to run published adventures.

I like to come up with my own stories and worlds. It took me a while to even start running adventures in published settings like #Eberron - and I freaking LOVE Eberron.

@xerhino In my #Eberron games, I actually do have an NPC who runs just such a shop in Middle Dura! I was inspired not just by the concept of "factory seconds", but by D&D 3.0/3.5's charts for cursed item drawbacks and requirements having a number of options on them that would be inconvenient or embarrassing, but not dangerous. She's very open, careful, and scrupulous about what she sells, and tries to destroy items that are actually dangerous — or get adventurers to help when she can't.
