A brief sunny ☀️ interlude produced from one spot at least 10 singing skylarks, 5 lapwings in territorial display with attendant females and merlin going across the marsh like Concorde. No migrants along the coastal footpath to #Berwick-Upon-Tweed and all the stonechat seem to have done a runner 🤷‍♂️

20km along country lanes from #Berwick-Upon-Tweed to the causeway produced mainly skylarks, yellowhammers and plenty of dunnocks in the mangled hedgerows. A few pink-footed goose still around plus a few redshanks, oystercatcher. Obviously an overcast day. Hopefully a wheatear on the way back along the coastal footpath. #birds #UkBirds #UkBirding
