Eurovision: the Swedish city of Malmö will host the music contest in 2024.

The southern Swedish city will host the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in the same venue that housed the colourful and eclectic music competition in 2012, the Swedish organisers said on Friday.

In 2012, singer Loreen won for the first time. She came out on top again in the 2023 edition with her song 'Tattoo.'

@WhiskyPenguin exactly. With good coordination, institutions like the #EBU could drive all public broadcasters to PeerTube. This strategy could even evolve to a curated streaming platform over the #ActivityPub protocol. But all of this needs coordination. And here's a trade-off (vis-a-vis hardcore federation) that we need to accept and demand if we are serious about tackling the ills of highly commercialised digital communication.

If no juries then one assumes no jury shows and this makes me so sad as they are such a fab way of seeing the #eurovision acts. I would have liked the #EBU to have tried to fix the issue of corruption a different way. More jurors, a demoscopic vote like #sanremo.
